Merchandise Designer

The State Guard & Defense Force Council (StateDefenseForce.com) is seeking a creative and dependable Merchandise Designer to develop original designs and manage product publication for SDFOnlineStore.com, our official merchandise platform supporting State Defense Forces nationwide.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design original, high-quality graphics for a wide range of products including T-shirts, sweaters, hoodies, jackets, car decals, blankets, posters, and other accessories.
- Prepare and publish finished designs in PNG format, ensuring proper
- Publish new merchandise items on The State Defense Force Online Store per week.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all designs are original, visually appealing to the State Defense Force community, and fully compliant with copyright and intellectual property guidelines.
- Take initiative in identifying new design concepts, seasonal themes, and product opportunities that support the mission and brand of StateDefenseForce.com.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Pixelmator Pro, or open-source graphic design applications. Applicant will be provided a license for Adobe Suite or Pixelmator Pro if they currently do not possess such software.
Familiarity with macOS and Pixelmator Pro is a strong plus, but not required.
Understanding of copyright restrictions and the ability to create original artwork without infringement.

Social Media Director

The State Guard & Defense Force Council (StateDefenseForce.com) is seeking a reliable, professional, and community-focused Social Media Director to oversee and moderate our official social media platforms. This role is critical to maintaining a respectful, informative, and well-managed online presence for the largest State Defense Force community on the internet.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee and actively moderate the StateDefenseForce.com Facebook Page and the StateDefenseForce.com Facebook Group, the largest State Defense Force community online.
- Moderate and manage comments and engagement on our Reddit community, TikTok comment sections, Instagram comments, and X (formerly Twitter) replies.
- Enforce community standards and posting rules to ensure discussions remain respectful, professional, and aligned with the mission of StateDefenseForce.com.
- Remove spam, misinformation, harassment, or policy-violating content as needed.
- Respond to basic community questions or escalate issues to senior staff when appropriate.
- Help foster healthy discussion, engagement, and growth across all platforms while protecting the credibility and reputation of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent moderation presence across all assigned platforms.
- Apply community rules fairly and consistently.
- Monitor trends or recurring issues within the community and report concerns to leadership.
- Coordinate with the State Guard & Defense Force Council staff regarding sensitive topics, official messaging, or emerging issues.
Ideal Candidate
- Prior experience moderating Facebook Groups, Reddit communities, or other large online communities.
- Strong understanding of social media platform rules, moderation tools, and comment management.
- Ability to remain professional, calm, and impartial when handling disagreements or controversial discussions.
Familiarity with military, State Defense Force, National Guard, or public service communities is a strong plus, but not required. Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
